Each of us comes to art differently: to create, appreciate or both. Just a simple, sincere bit of encouragement pushed me to my first adult painting class and I have not looked back. My inspirations include many greats as Diebenkorn, Hoffmann and Gaudi.

I create art to draw the viewer in for a good long stay,
to linger and discover the work's individual elements
are as compelling as the whole. My high-chroma abstractions and mixed media acrylics elicit interaction, with the materials close-up, and with emotion from a distance. I bring visual energy to my work and connect with my viewers through the alchemy
of color, texture, movement and depth.

Creating a piece that beautifies an environment and touches someone is a gift.

I show at the Carnegie Library, Bankhead Theater, Wente Estate Tasting Room and Cuda Ridge Winery in Livermore; the Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center; the Village Gallery Theater in Danville; Lafayette Town Hall Theater, the Alameda Museum; East Bay Open Studios in Jack London Square and ProArts Gallery in Oakland; and am also a contributing artist in the Blackburn & Friends art collective based in San Francisco.
